Putty Kartika

Putty’s commitment towards empowering women leaders and advancing equitable healthcare is in line with the core pillars of Sweef’s mission. As a seasoned executive, she brings a deep understanding of how targeted investments in healthcare can drive both financial and social returns for women and communities across the Asia-Pacific. Post-retirement, she currently runs a medical-device distribution company, ensuring that critical equipment reaches underserved hospitals and clinics throughout Indonesia. 

Putty is a retired Country Director of GE HealthCare Indonesia, with more than 30 years of experience in medical devices and pharmaceuticals, building and leading multinational companies in Indonesia to deliver sustainable growth. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles in several global medical device manufacturers, including Country Director at Medtronic Indonesia and Commercial Director at B. Braun Indonesia. Her notable accomplishments include achieving a US$175 million revenue legacy and spearheading the successful implementation of a high-tech Oncology Cyclotron project. In each role, her focus on expanding access to medical devices has generated tangible benefits for patients and strengthened healthcare infrastructures. Throughout her journey, Putty has championed female leadership, mentoring emerging women executives, designing inclusive training programs, and forging public-private partnerships that broaden access to care.  

Putty holds a Master of Value Proposition from the National University of Singapore (NUS), and both a Master of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
