Mr. Sherwood Dodge and Jennifer Buckley both joined GE’s European private equity team in 1999 when Sherwood transitioned from his role as President of GE Capital Thailand to President of GE Equity Europe. During his 6 years in the role Sherwood and Jennifer shared several portfolio management experiences building talent, helping to set value creation plans and devising exit paths for their investee companies.

In April 2023 Sherwood completed 7 years as the Global Head of Private Equities at ADIA (Abu Dhabi Investment Authority). In that role he was responsible for setting strategy and had oversight of the investment teams and investment activity in the sub-classes of private equity including buyouts, growth capital and venture capital as well as private equity secondaries and private credit. During his tenure at ADIA the program grew significantly in size and developed a market-leading ability to co-underwrite transactions with its GP partners as well as selectively invest directly in its 5 targeted industry verticals.

Prior to ADIA, Sherwood spent 27 years with GE Capital holding senior leadership roles across Europe, US, and Asia. From 2013-16 he served as Deputy CEO and a Board Member of Hyundai Capital Services and Hyundai Card, the joint ventures in global auto finance and domestic (Korean market) credit cards between Hyundai Motors and GE.  From 2005 – 12 Sherwood had several senior leadership roles including President of GE Equity Americas and Head of Corporate Development at GE Capital Americas.  From 1999-2005 Sherwood was President of GE Equity Europe.   And from 1995-98 Sherwood was President of GE Capital Thailand where he was responsible for building and managing businesses in auto finance, sales finance, credit cards and commercial leasing.

Sherwood was raised in Thailand and graduated high school at the International School Bangkok.   He has a BA in Political Science from Denison University in the U.S. He and his wife currently live in Fairfield, Connecticut and Sun Valley, Idaho.
