The United Nations ESCAP Feminist Finance Forum 2023 in Bangkok last week was a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and the shared commitment to reshaping the financial landscape for women for the better.

Event highlights from our Sweef Capital team members Rowena Reyes and Samantha Tedjosugondo

At the Gender ROI™: A Game-Changing Approach for Gender Integration in Your Organisation session, we had the privilege of engaging with entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, including Cambodia, India, Pakistan, and Mongolia. We were truly inspired by the incredible passion and enthusiasm they displayed while we discussed this transformative approach of the Gender ROI™.

These entrepreneurs have already been actively involved in aspects of gender equality and are now considering new initiatives, notably in the realm of gender-responsive procurement. The Gender ROI™ tool serves as a comprehensive framework for them to embed gender equality and diversity into their organisations, whether they are micro, small, medium, or large enterprises.

Emme Dao Lan Huong, the founder of TEKY ACADEMY (SWEEF’s first portfolio company), shared her business’s impact and her collaboration with Sweef Capital in developing metrics for performance tracking and informed decision-making, among our value creation initiatives. In addition, she generously provided valuable insights and guidance on fundraising strategies.

Continuing the Journey

As a forum partner, we extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event: speakers, attendees, partners, and organisers. The spirit of change and empowerment that was ignited at the event will continue to guide our efforts as we strive to create a more inclusive financial landscape for women. Together, let’s drive positive change in the world of finance and beyond.
