Founded in 2010 by dr. Lia Yuliana Elsis Yunda, Avisena has grown from a maternity clinic into a four-hospital network serving communities across West Java. Under dr. Lia’s leadership, the Group works closely with BPJS Kesehatan to deliver accessible secondary care to middle and emerging income populations, including farmers, factory workers and their families.
Avisena Healthcare Group is a leading private hospital operator in West Java, specialising in emergency and trauma care supported by a broad network of general practitioners and specialist doctors. With a vision to build an integrated healthcare platform, the Group is expanding its hospital network and service offerings to provide fast, comprehensive, and high quality healthcare access to diverse communities.
Beyond hospital based services, the Group is deeply committed to community centred healthcare through preventive education and outreach programmes targeting schoolchildren, factory workers, and surrounding residents. These initiatives aim to improve health literacy, support early detection, and reduce long term health and financial burdens, reinforcing Avisena’s role as both a healthcare provider and a community partner.

These results are reinforced by Avisena’s significant investment in women’s healthcare, which both empowers female professionals and delivers high-quality services to women in its community—a dual impact that strengthens its systemic contribution to gender equality.
Opportunity indicators scored 3.21, highlighting the hospital’s strong community engagement through pro bono services and public health initiatives for women, but also revealing room to formalise gender-responsive procurement and integrate gender targets into strategic planning and performance reviews.

Areas for improvement include strengthening GBVH prevention and response systems and extending gender equality practices beyond the hospital workforce to suppliers and partners.
