GenderSmart

GenderSmart is a global field-building initiative dedicated to unlocking the deployment of strategic, impactful gender-smart capital at scale. For a diverse global audience of investors and investment influencers, intermediaries, and others, they build capacity at curated global Summits, in working groups, and through partnership programming designed around the needs and challenges of the field. They connect this community to each other and to resources and tools, and translate insights across asset classes and geographies.

Ms. Buckley was part of the Steering Committee for Gender Smart’s First-Time Fund Managers Investing with a Gender Lens Initiative launched in February 2020 to address the structural barriers that consistently prevent women-led and diverse teams from raising sufficient capital in support of their first funds. The Initiative focused on helping to advance and scale structural and market-based solutions that will increase the flow of capital, and culminated in the publication of “A Guide to Investing in First-Time Women and Diverse Fund Managers The XX Factor: Unlocking Opportunity, Impact and Alpha Initiative”.

Sweef Capital is now collaborating with GenderSmart on upcoming Summit 2022 activities, including regional deep dives on Southeast Asia & Asia Pacific and continuing to feed into ongoing and upcoming working groups around thematics spanning climate and gender, JEDI (justice, equity, diversity and inclusion) and others.
