Last Thursday, Samantha Tedjosugondo was invited to a dinner with the CEO of Convergence, Blended Finance, Joan M Larrea, in Jakarta. Joan Larrea, a world-renowned expert, was in Jakarta to talk about blended finance, which combines public and private capital to invest in development and climate projects.

The dinner focused on Australia’s first blended finance investment in Indonesia, which will be an investment of US$1 million in the South-East Asia Clean Energy Fund. The investment will target Indonesia’s small and medium enterprises in renewable energy generation, energy efficiency, and electric mobility and it will be matched by a contribution from Australian private investors.

Samantha Tedjosugondo used this event as an opportunity to network with other stakeholders such as Indonesian government officials, development partners, the private sector, investors, and NGO organisations.
